Trump Declares ‘We Will Always Protect Women’s Sports’ During Speech, Nick Saban Tells Glorious ‘Red Button’ Story

Alabama graduates got one hell of a send-off!

President Donald Trump showed up Thursday evening to the University of Alabama to deliver a commencement address to the college’s Class of 2025, and it was certainly a sight to witness.

The president received welcomes to the stage via thunderous “USA” chants, which led to him instantly telling a joke to the students about important moments always being remembered. For example, Crimson Tide football head coach Nick Saban retiring.

“Today, it’s my pleasure to return to this campus. Nowhere I’d rather be than Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Titletown that’s what it’s become,” said Trump.

It was a glorious showing at Alabama, and it even came along with a fabulous “red button” story from Saban. (RELATED: ‘He Is Not Representing America’: Phil Mickelson Blasts ‘Traitor’ Chuck Schumer Over SAVE Act Criticism)

“Player said ‘nah, I don’t want to do that’, then the President said ‘go ahead, go ahead. push it, see what happens’. So, Rashaan Evans finally got the guts up and pushed the red button. Some lady came in with a coke on a tray,” Saban said.

You’ve gotta watch the video, it’s truly a treat.

One of the biggest moments, if not the biggest, of the night though came when Trump was talking about transgender (biological male) athletes in female sports. It was easily one of the loudest cheers of the evening.

“As long as I’m president, we’ll always protect women’s sports,” said the president. “Men will not play in women’s sports. No way. They say it’s an 80/20 issue, it’s more like a 97/3 issue.”
