President Donald Trump’s “Triumph” came with an alleged slight against the commander-in-peace as he wasn’t alone in ripping Time Magazine’s cover choice.
“… may be the Worst of All Time.”
The president arrived back in the United States after midnight Tuesday, following his whirlwind trip to the Middle East, having secured the release of the remaining hostages held by Hamas and met with world leaders to sign a peace plan in the region. Given the magnitude of the occasion, Trump found himself asking, “What are they doing, and why?” as he accused Time of choosing a “super bad picture” of him for the cover.
Taking to Truth Social, the chief executive remarked, “Time Magazine wrote a relatively good story about me, but the picture may be the Worst of All Time.”
“They ‘disappeared’ my hair, and then had something floating on top of my head that looked like a floating crown, but an extremely small one. Really weird!” he went on, seemingly referring to the “M” in Time that appears oriented behind his head. “I never liked taking pictures from underneath angles, but this is a super bad picture, and deserves to be called out. What are they doing, and why?”
Accompanying the image, Time shared the headline “His Triumph” and the caption, “The living Israeli hostages held in Gaza have been freed under the first phase of Donald Trump’s peace plan, alongside a Palestinian prisoner release. The deal may become a signature achievement of Trump’s second term, and it could mark a strategic turning point for the Middle East.”

Even before Trump weighed in on the photo, others on social media were ripping into Time with examples of other covers that the president had appeared on, including Monday’s installment of The Jerusalem Post, where his black and white image was displayed below the fold.
Above the fold, the message stated within a red, white, and blue array akin to Old Glory, “GOD BLESS THE PEACEMAKER.”

Does every time cover of Trump have to be weirdly stylistic and symbolic?

Within the story itself, the same magazine that had fawned over then-Vice President Kamala Harris with a “Reintroduction” as part of “Her Moment” after supplanting then-President Joe Biden at the top of the Democratic Party’s presidential ticket, Time Magazine coupled the accomplishment with negative reminders.
The peace agreement was referred to as “fragile but historic” before talk of a “new era defined less by conflict than by the possibility of transformation” had cold water splashed on it. “Such an outcome is far from certain. While Israel and Hamas have accepted the two-phase agreement, there remains the chance it could unravel.”
“Even if the first phase holds,” Time went on, “the thornier issues awaiting resolution in the second–the scope of Israel’s military withdrawal and future deployment, the structure of a peacekeeping force, the question of who governs Gaza, and the dismantling of Hamas’s terror infrastructure–could cause the process to collapse.”
While the magazine later quoted an anonymous senior administration official as stating, “There’s still a lot of ways this can go wrong,” reactions on social media continued to rip the “deliberate,” “awful,” and “evil” cover photo decision.
As a pro photographer, if they used that photo of mine I would freak out. No one takes a picture of a world leader up the nostril. It’s deliberate, it’s awful, and it’s evil.

Right? Is Time goofing on him? This photo is hideous

Um, this is not a flattering angle.

Could TIME magazine have made it any more obvious they are ashamed to put POTUS on the cover? They’ve hidden their title in the background & cropped out the ME by Trumps hair, what they’ve left of it. Shameful pic.twitter.com/pkWBbP8cQv
