Trump National Golf Club Westchester found in violation of health code

Insects and rodents have been found in President Trump’s New York golf club in eight of 15 inspections since 2016.

Out of the five most recent health violations issued during a November state health department inspection at Trump National Golf Club Westchester, all had been noted during previous visits, according to state health data.

“Inadequate” lighting and ventilation, unshielded fixtures and dirty ventilation hoods, ductwork, filters and exhaust fans were cited 13 times in nearly 10 years.

Other violations include “dirty surfaces,” rooms in “disrepair” and improper construction. Food was “uncovered, mislabeled” and “stored” on the floor, and there were “missing or inadequate sneeze guards” and “double stacked” food containers. None, however, were considered “critical violations.”

This is not the president’s only golf venue to receive criticism from health department inspections.

Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster received a score of 32 out of 100 possible points — the lowest grade of more than 100 retail food establishments inspected in Somerset County, New Jersey, last May.

“Too many critical and non critical violations found at the time of inspection,” the report reads. “[The person in charge] fails to demonstrate knowledge of food safety.”

A total of 18 violations were noted during the visit, nine of which were labeled critical.

Some of the complaints mirrored those in his Westchester, New York, club, including food violations such as improper storage.
