The purpose of The Christian Institute’s Colin Hart Lectures 2025 was to see that glorious but seemingly contradictory Bible truths are, as Spurgeon put it, actually ‘friends that have no need to be reconciled’.
The Institute has been running an autumn lecture series in Newcastle upon Tyne since 1991. This year believers heard from speakers including Stuart Olyott, who explained how God’s sovereignty does not diminish our free will. Instead, a correct understanding of both underpins our approach to salvation, evangelism, and discipleship.
