Turning Point announces counter to Bad Bunny Super Bowl halftime show

With woke NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell signing off on the controversial selection of Bad Bunny, aka Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, for this year’s Super Bowl halftime show, Turning Point USA has announced that it will be hosting a halftime show of its own.

The organization founded by the late Charlie Kirk announced the “All American Halftime Show” on X, promising that performers and event details would be announced “soon” for the celebration of “faith, family and freedom.”

The selection of Bad Bunny as the NFL’s official headliner was an interesting choice, given that he sings in Spanish — the singer hosted the Season 51 premiere of “Saturday Night Live” last weekend, arrogantly telling non-Spanish speakers during his monologue, “If you didn’t understand what I just said, you have four months to learn.”

Ocasio did not include any dates in the United States for his upcoming 2025-26 concert tour, crying that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) “could be outside” his shows.

“There was the issue of, like, f–king ICE could be outside. And it’s something that we were talking about and very concerned about,” he said during an interview.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem let it be known that ICE will “be all over that place,” speaking of the Super Bowl.

“We’re gonna enforce the law. So I think people should not be coming to the Super Bowl unless they’re law-abiding Americans who love this country,” Noem said in an interview last week.

“They suck, and we’ll win, and God will bless us, and we’ll stand and be proud of ourselves at the end of the day, and they won’t be able to sleep at night because they don’t know what they believe, and they’re so weak,” she added, in reference to the NFL. “We’ll fix it.”

A video has been making the rounds this week depicting Ocasio choosing to sit during the playing of ‘God Bless America’ at the Yankees vs Blue Jays game while all those around him stood:

The entertainer would later claim that the incident was not “intentional.”

In a related topic, Grammy-winning country singer Lee Greenwood was in agreement with House Speaker Mike Johnson, after the GOP leader suggested that Greenwood should replace Bad Bunny for the Super Bowl halftime show.

“I agree with Speaker Johnson. I would make a great performer for any Super Bowl show,” Greenwood said in a statement to the New York Post.

“I perform for various NFL teams every year, especially during their Salute to Service games,” he added. “As a matter of fact, I’ll be doing halftime for the Dallas Cowboys during Monday Night Football on Nov. 3. Football is one of America’s most watched sports, and I am always thrilled to perform the anthem or ‘God Bless the USA’ during the games.”

President Donald Trump always plays Greenwood’s epic patriotic song “God Bless the USA” at his rallies, and Greenwood performed at his inauguration — he also performed at Charlie Kirk’s memorial service in September.

Social media users are confident that the TPUSA halftime alternative will be a big hit — here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on X:
