UFC fighter Cameron Smotherman lost consciousness and collapsed Friday, moments after stepping onto the scale and weighing in at T-Mobile arena.
FC bantamweight Smotherman was weighing in ahead of Saturday’s UFC 324 card in Las Vegas when he appeared visibly unstable. His weight was successfully registered at 135.5 pounds, and he took a few steps off the platform before he fell forward onto the stage floor, according to The Guardian.

Seconds after the frightening fall, medics and UFC staff rushed to Smotherman’s aid and provided assistance. The Guardian reported the fighter regained consciousness after a brief time and was quickly whisked away for further medical attention. He was examined by physicians, but no further updates on his condition have been publicly reported.
Smotherman’s three-round fight against Ricky Turcios was scrapped from Saturday’s fight card. There’s no indication on whether or not the match will be rescheduled. (RELATED: UFC Champion Tom Aspinall ‘Still Can’t See’ After Eye Poke, Dad Says)
