UNC Football Was Seeking Fundraising In Saudi Arabia: REPORT

Just when you thought UNC’s public relations mess couldn’t get any worse …

Sports journalist Pablo Torre reported Thursday that several sources have informed him that Michael Lombardi, the general manager of the North Carolina Tar Heels football program, paid a visit to Saudi Arabia two weeks prior to the season beginning in order to seek fundraising. Torre said he will be revealing more information on Friday’s episode of “Pablo Torre Finds Out.”

Torre was a major voice during the news cycle reporting Jordon Hudson, the girlfriend of Tar Heels head coach Bill Belichick, being involved with the UNC program earlier in 2024. In particular, Torre broke the news regarding Hudson playing the role of Belichick’s manager and agent. Fast forward to now, and Torre has focused in on a new target with Lombardi, who was hired by North Carolina as the GM over the offseason when Belichick was brought on himself as the skipper.

Lombardi has previous experience working in the National Football League. He’s worked in multiple front offices, including for the Philadelphia Eagles, Oakland Raiders, Cleveland Browns, among others.

I don’t care much for Pablo Torre, hell, I don’t care much for sports media, but you better believe I’ll be tuned into this — hot damn!
