A video circulating on social media shows the startling moment singer Katy Perry nearly fell off a stage prop while flying over a crowd mid-concert.
The 40-year-old singer was performing in San Francisco on Friday night on top of a butterfly machine while singing her hit song “Roar” when the prop appeared to malfunction.
“Sing it, sing it now,” Perry told the crowd moments before the mid-air prop appeared to drop.
Fans could be heard shouting as the former “American Idol” judge took a few seconds to regain her composure.
“And you’re gonna hear me roar,” she continued singing. (RELATED: Katy Perry’s Fashion Fail Made Her Fall On The ‘American Idol’ Stage)

After the show, the singer shared a screenshot of her shocked face in an Instagram story with the caption “Goodnight San Fran.”
A rep for Perry told Page Six that the “California Gurls” singer is “good” after the mishap, sustaining only a minor bump.
“She paused slightly but then kept singing, almost never missing a beat,” the representative told the outlet.
Perry is currently on her “The Lifetimes Tour” with her next show scheduled for Monday night in Seattle, Washington.
The incident comes a few weeks after Beyoncé suffered a similar situation above a crowd in Houston. On June 28, the 43-year-old singer was performing her song “16 Carriages” in a car prop suspended over the crowd when the car started tilting.
The scary situation was recorded by fans and shared on social media. Beyoncé can be seen sitting atop a red convertible as it leaned over, tilting the singer to the side.
“Stop, stop, stop, stop,” Beyoncé called out, pausing the show.
The prop was eventually lowered and Beyoncé was safely brought to the middle of the stadium.
