Vikings’ Jordan Addison Suspended After DUI Arrest

The NFL disciplined Jordan Addison, a wide receiver for the Minnesota Vikings, after police arrested him on suspicion of DUI in 2024.

A three-year veteran and formerly a first-round draft pick, Addison found himself in violation of the National Football League‘s policy on substance abuse after he admitted to drinking alcohol as part of a July legal agreement involving him, per OutKick. Minnesota made the announcement Tuesday that the NFL issued a three-game suspension without pay for Addison to start the campaign. Police placed the receiver under arrest around LAX back in July for allegedly falling asleep while operating a motor vehicle under under the influence. Addison is permitted to practice with the Vikings in training camp, and he can also play in preseason contests, per the team.

Nixed the first three weeks of the 2025 season, Addison won’t play against the Chicago Bears, Atlanta Falcons and Cincinnati Bengals.

At the time of writing, Addison has not appealed the suspension, OutKick reported.

California Highway Patrol placed him under arrest in El Segundo after they found his white Rolls-Royce allegedly blocking a path towards LAX. The police gave Addison a breathalyzer test that reportedly placed his blood alcohol level to be at a figure of .08%. The NFL athlete pleaded no contest to a reckless driving charge and was sentenced to probation and ordered to pay a fine and take traffic course online, according to Yahoo Sports.
