Some people have all the luck, others … well … don’t.
Rondale Moore, a wide receiver for the Minnesota Vikings, suffered a brutal knee injury on his very first preseason play after already missing the entire 2024 campaign due to a knee.
Moore made an appearance in Minnesota‘s 20-10 victory against the Houston Texans. He came into the contest to return a punt, and after landing the ball, he was taken down by Houston linebacker Jamal Hill while running out of bounds. (RELATED: NFL Gets Even Softer With Latest Ban)
A medical cart was sent out for Moore, taking him off the field and back into the locker room. Understandably, emotions were running high, with Moore having a towel placed on his head.
“It’s one of the most painful things for me as a head coach when I feel that emotion,” said Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell, per ESPN. “I make a life out of trying to leave others better than I found them. In that situation, there is nothing I can do, which is the worst feeling as a coach. So you just consult with him and make sure that he knows he’s not going to be alone.”
O’Connell branded Moore’s knee injury as “pretty significant,” as Moore could potentially miss the 2025 season due to his injury.

Life can be really unfair for some people, but I guess that’s why we have the “nobody said life was fair” quote, and ain’t that the truth.
