Walz Crushed Whistleblowers While $1 Billion Disappeared [WATCH]

Senator John Kennedy detailed whistleblower claims from employees inside the Minnesota Department of Human Services, saying they directly accused Governor Tim Walz of responsibility for what they described as a massive fraud operation within the agency.

Kennedy said the allegations come from workers who administered state programs and reported retaliation after attempting to expose the wrongdoing.

“These are over several 100 employees from the Minnesota Department of Human Service who administer this program, who just get up every day and go to work and do their job. Want to help people,” Kennedy said.

He explained that their statements were posted publicly.

“This is what they posted on social media. I’m quoting now Mr. President, Governor Tim Walz is 100% responsible for massive fraud in Minnesota. I’m sure he wasn’t the only one, because this fraud was an open secret, but I’m quoting from what the employee said, Governor Tim Walz is 100% responsible for massive fraud in Minnesota.”

Kennedy said the employees claimed Walz knew about the problems early.

“We met Tim Walz. Know of fraud early on, that’s employees talking, hoping for a partnership and stopping fraud. But no, we got the opposite response,” he said.

He then described the workers’ account of what happened when they tried to report the misconduct.

“Tim Walz systematically retaliated against whistleblowers, using monitoring, using threats, using repression, and did his best to discredit fraud reports instead of partnership, we got the full weight of retaliation by Tim Walz and an indifferent mainstream media. It’s scary, isolating and left us wondering who we can return to,” Kennedy said.

Kennedy also referenced a recent report that raised additional questions about the scale and impact of the alleged scheme.

“And now there are reports coming out, Mr. President, I don’t know if they’re true, but I know the prosecutors are desperately trying to get the bottom up, and I don’t want to say that this is true, but a report came out in a publication called Senate City Journal, which is published by the Manhattan Institute,” he said.

He summarized the report’s allegations.

“And they are alleging that money part of this billion dollars that was stolen, they are alleging that at least a portion of it went to a terrorist organization in Somalia that we’ve all heard of. It’s notorious. It’s an organization called Al Shabaab. They hate Americans. They’re terrorists. They want to kill Americans and drink their blood out of a boot they were taking a cut according to this claim,” Kennedy said. “Again, I don’t know if it’s true, but the prosecutor, prosecutors are trying to get to the bottom of it.”
