Watch Joy Reid compare the socialist NYC mayoral nominee to Trump

When it comes to making baseless arguments and ignorant hot takes, Joy Reid never fails to deliver.

The fired MSNBC host was schooled on CNN for celebrating presumptive Democrat mayoral nominee Zoharan Mamdani’s primary win in New York City. Mamdani is a radical socialist who recently condemned President Trump’s bombing of Iran’s nuclear sites.

Fellow CNN guest Arthur Aidala explained how the nomination of Mamdani would be disastrous for NYC, calling out the 33-year-old for having “zero experience.”

That claim was too much for Reid, who was making faces the whole time Aidala was speaking, and compared Mamdani’s inexperience to President Trump, who apparently only has working on “The Apprentice” under his professional belt.

“Sorry!” Reid interjected. “Donald Trump is President of the United States; his experience was being on ‘The Apprentice.’”

No really. Watch:

But the fun didn’t end there. When Reid’s comparison wouldn’t hold water, she challenged Aidala to explain how Mandani’s policies would bring NYC back to the disastrous 1970s. So, he did.

It was entertaining to watch Reid try and maintain her smug facial expressions as she was being schooled in real time, and X users had a good time with it too:

One can only hope!

What could go wrong? Yikes!

As a matter of fact, Reid is a BIG fan of Jasmine Crockett and claims to be contemplating leaving the Democratic Party because Crockett is being denied a leadership role within the party.
