I love Dabo, but Brian Kelly cooked his ass.
Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney was on point yet again with his press conference Tuesday, which came after the Tigers’ Week 1 defeat against LSU. However, it would be their head coach Brian Kelly who would get the last laugh … again.
Talking with the local press, Swinney said that his squad’s loss against LSU was like “getting a final exam.”
“It’s like getting a final exam, day one of class. They made a 65. We made a 58. Neither one of us were great,” said Swinney. (RELATED: LSU Fan Gets Brutally Choked By Clemson Supporter After Disrespectful Taunt)
Regardless of what Swinney said though, LSU won the game. It doesn’t matter who looked great or not, all that matters is who has the most points at the end of the contest. And that was LSU, 17-10.
Going into halftime, it was Clemson who was holding on to a 10-3 advantage in their own Death Valley, but things fell apart for them when the game got to the second half. Kelly gave Swinney a clear reminder of that while speaking in his own press conference Tuesday.
“Well, I mean, I thought we dominated them in the second half. So, he’s either a really good grader for, you know, giving himself a 58, or he’s a really hard grader on us – or he didn’t see the second half, which that might be the case,” said Kelly. “He might not have wanted to see the second half.”
ZING!

I hate to see this happen to one of my ACC people, but I gotta give Brian credit … he grilled Dabo.
