We’re Getting Closer And Closer To Athletics Being In Las Vegas

We’re about to find out what Sin City baseball feels like.

In the summer of 2026, the Athletics will play at Las Vegas Ballpark for a total of six regular-season games.

From June 8-10, the A’s will be taking on the Milwaukee Brewers in a three-game series, and then from June 12-14, they’ll be playing another three games against the Colorado Rockies, according to an announcement Tuesday from the Athletics organization. The regular-season contests will be the first that the A’s play at Las Vegas Ballpark, who are currently in the middle of building a $2 billion stadium that will be located on the Strip. The expectations are that the stadium will be ready to go when the 2028 campaign kicks off. In the last two years, they have played at Las Vegas Ballpark for Big League Weekend spring training games.

“The games will have more significance behind them, and the community will be a little more excited to go see all the starters and all the players on the team that are going to be here in a couple of years,” said Athletics president Marc Badain, per the Las Vegas Review-Journal. “Big League Weekends are fun, and we enjoy coming out for those, but this has a lot more importance to it since it’s part of the early regular season.”

I know there’s a lot of hate towards the A’s because of the relocation, but as a fan of Las Vegas, I have no choice but to be all about it.
