What A Ray Kroc! — McDonald’s Leader Posts Video That Would Have Original CEO In 1950s Rolling In His Grave

I love McDonald’s.

McDonald’s is an OG all-American classic. Although their “food” is terrible for you, I simply don’t care: it’s delicious. And some of my favorite childhood memories center around McDonald’s meals and visits to the drive-through.

So it’s sad to see that their current CEO, Chris Kempczinski, does not appear to enjoy the actual product as much as we customers, nor the McDonald’s franchising pioneer, Ray Kroc. (RELATED: Wendy’s Admits It Blew Its Value Strategy As McDonald’s Eats Its Lunch)

Kempczinski was recently roasted online after he posted a video of himself taste-testing the new Big Arch burger, which features two quarter-pound beef patties, white cheddar cheese, crispy and slivered onions, pickles, lettuce, and a tangy “Big Arch” sauce.

Look at this reaction. It’s as if he is a hostage. Blink twice if you are OK, Chris.

We all know the only time he ever eats McDonald’s is when he is forced to participate in one of these taste tests. Otherwise, he is doing intermittent fasting, kale shakes for lunch, and chicken over rice for dinner. It wouldn’t shock me if he never stepped foot inside an actual McDonald’s restaurant like the rest of us peons.

I took a quick look at this guy’s CV. Unsurprisingly, he went to Duke and then Harvard for his MBA before navigating the labyrinth of corporate America

And he’s exactly the kind of fella you want running a massive corporation. Boring, but properly credentialed. Smooth-talking, yet smooth-brained. As much personality as an IRS agent from Peoria, Illinois.

It’s sad, though, that he doesn’t actually like the food. Maybe that should be the first prerequisite for any fast food executive. You gotta love the food you’re selling.
