‘What did I miss?’ Fox sequestered contestants for Trump’s first 100 days for Gutfeld’s fun new gameshow

Pairing isolation and politics, Fox News funnyman Greg Gutfeld teased a new game show event about the Trump administration where contestants will “learn what really happened.”

As those paying attention could attest, keeping up with the pace of President Donald Trump’s second administration was no small feat — and nigh on impossible for leftists trying to spin out narratives. With that in mind and $50,000 on the line, four contestants who’d been sequestered from society for 90 days were set to square off to see who could parse fact from fiction on “Greg Gutfeld’s What Did I Miss?”

As part of the announcement for the three-part game show set to premiere on Fox Nation on May 12, the eponymous host of Fox News’ wildly popular late-night program “Gutfeld!” stood in front of the Upstate New York residence where the contestants were said to have been housed from Jan. 20 to April 13.

“Hello, America. You’re probably wondering why I’m standing outside this perfectly normal house in the middle of nowhere,” said Gutfeld. “Am I flipping it for profit? I wish. Did I get lost on my way to work? It’s possible. So what am I doing in front of this perfectly normal house? I won’t tell you, because this is what we call a tease and I am teasing you.”

“‘What Did I Miss?’ a new game show, coming soon to Fox Nation. What idiot wrote this?” concluded the promotion.

Fleshing out the details of the program that would feature “Gutfeld!” regulars Kat Timpf and Jamie Lissow, Fox Nation president Lauren Petterson explained in a statement, “Truth can be stranger than fiction and who better to help isolated Americans catch up on the headlines they missed during an unprecedented news cycle than Greg Gutfeld.”

“We are excited for Fox Nation subscribers to have exclusive access to America’s most-watched late night host’s game show debut as he informs contestants about what really happened while they were completely off the grid and isolated from the outside world,” she added.

According to the release, following isolation without television, social media or phones, the contestants were to be presented with scenarios that may or may not have happened during the first three months of Trump’s return to the White House and it would be up to them to determine if headlines were true or false.

“For these four contestants to learn what really happened while they were living in isolation, they’ll have to get through me first. Lucky them,” said Gutfeld.

As part of the rotating panel on “The Five,” the non-primetime program was said to have averaged 4.6 million viewers for the first quarter of 2025, surpassing broadcast programs like “American Idol” and “Survivor” in viewership while setting a record attaining 14 consecutive quarters as the most watched program in that category.

Additionally, “Gutfeld!” had continued to beat late-night competitors in ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” CBS’ “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” and “After Midnight,” Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” and NBC’s “The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon” and “Late Night with Seth Meyer” by averaging 3.3 million viewers for the same quarter as anticipation built for the special event.
