White House Launches Fake News ‘Hall of Shame’ and ‘Media Offender of the Week’ [WATCH]

The White House on Friday launched a new website aimed at highlighting what it describes as left-wing media bias, including sections titled “Media Offender of the Week” and an “Offender Hall of Shame.”

The rollout comes amid ongoing disputes between the administration and several news organizations over coverage of President Donald Trump’s recent statements regarding Democratic lawmakers.

The site currently lists CBS News, the Boston Globe, and the Independent as its “Media Offender of the Week.”

According to the White House, the designation is based on the outlets’ reporting on President Trump’s responses to a video released by a group of Democratic members of Congress.

This Could Be the Most Important Video Gun Owners Watch All Year

The administration said those outlets inaccurately characterized the president’s remarks as calling for “execution” of the lawmakers.

On November 18, Sens. Elissa Slotkin of Michigan and Mark Kelly of Arizona, along with Reps. Maggie Goodlander of New Hampshire, Jason Crow of Colorado, Chrissy Houlahan of Pennsylvania, and Chris Deluzio of Pennsylvania, published a video addressing servicemembers and intelligence officers.

In the video, they said that personnel “can refuse illegal orders,” suggesting that President Trump had issued unlawful directives, though they did not specify what orders they were referencing.

In response to reporting on the video and the lawmakers’ statements, President Trump posted on Truth Social.

“This is really bad, and Dangerous to our Country. Their words cannot be allowed to stand. SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR FROM TRAITORS!!! LOCK THEM UP???” he wrote in one post.

In another, he wrote, “SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR, punishable by DEATH!”

The new White House site features a fact-check format with labeled sections. Under a heading titled “The Offense,” the page states, “The media misrepresented President Trump’s call for Members of Congress to be held accountable for inciting sedition by saying that he called for their ‘execution.’”

A second heading labeled “The Truth” reads, “The Democrats and Fake News Media subversively implied that President Trump had issued illegal orders to service members. Every order President Trump has issued has been lawful.”

The page continues, “It is dangerous for sitting Members of Congress to incite insubordination in the United States military, and President Trump called for them to be held accountable.”

Farther down the site is the “Offender Hall of Shame,” which currently includes the Washington Post, CBS News, CNN, and MSNBC.

The White House describes the list as a collection of outlets it believes have repeatedly mischaracterized statements or issues involving the administration.

The website also contains a running list of claims it labels false or misleading.

These entries are organized into categories such as “Bias,” “Malpractice,” “Lie,” and “Left-wing lunacy.”

Each category includes links to specific examples the administration says demonstrate inaccurate reporting or misrepresentation.

The site features a “Leaderboard” ranking outlets based on the number of entries assigned to them by the White House.

The Washington Post is currently ranked first overall, followed by MSNBC and CBS News. CNN, the New York Times, Politico, and the Wall Street Journal also appear on the leaderboard.

The administration said the site will continue to be updated with new entries.

The launch comes as media organizations and the White House remain at odds over how recent statements by lawmakers and responses from the president have been framed in news coverage.
