The White House hit back at Ariana Grande for reposting an anti-Trump message, and they used her own songs to do it.
The singer got herself into hot water when she shared an Instagram post from “A Bit Fruity” podcast host Matt Bernstein that maligned those who voted for President Donald Trump.
“I want to check in with trump voters. I have one very genuine question: It’s been 250 days. Now that immigrants have been violently torn from their families and communities have been destroyed, now that trans people have been blamed for virtually everything and live in fear, now that free speech is on the brink of collapse for us all — has your life gotten better?” the message reads, an obvious leftist talking point that attacks the 77 million Americans who voted for the current president. “Have your groceries gotten cheaper? Has your health insurance premium gone down? Has your work/life balance improved? Can you take a vacation yet? Are you happier? Has the widespread suffering of others paid off for you in the way he promised it would, or are you still waiting?”
The post generated backlash, including from the White House.
“Save your tears, Ariana. Because President Trump’s actions ended Joe Biden’s inflation crisis and are bringing in trillions in new investments,” reads a statement from WH spokesperson Kush Desai. “He even signed an executive order just like magic that paved the way for the FTC to crack down on Ticketmaster for ripping off Ariana Grande’s concert-going fans. Get well soon, Ariana!”

Oh all people, you would expect someone whose concert was targeted by a terrorist attack to be more responsible with their rhetoric

It’s been everything I voted for. Promises made and kept.

I wish some of these celebrities would stick to entertainment. Their hate and ignorance just ruins the enjoyment of anything they are part of! No interest in the next Wicked! They are so stupid to isolate half their fans!

He’s got just as much right to react to her mouth as she does to say it. She needs to worry more about her health and less about what the industry thinks of her.
