At least one high-profile fan of Kansas State football saw their irritation spill all over the streets, literally, following the Wildcats’ 24-21 loss Saturday against the Iowa State Cyclones at Aviva Stadium.
In a video that has now been seen over 300,000 times across several posts that followed both school’s season-opener, Mark Johnson seemingly got into a fight, and get this: it was reportedly with his oldest son. The footage appears to show Johnson and his son wrestling on a puddle-filled Dublin street, with Johnson on top as Wildcats fans attempted to break up the squabble. In the extended video of the scene, there was at least one punch.
Each was heard shouting at each other. They were also seen shoving one another until they were broken up by K-State fans and brought to their feet, which de-escalated things. Later, they walked in different directions, with Wildcats fans getting them to calm down.
“No comment,” said Johnson in a text message to The Wichita Eagle when questioned about the clip.
