Woke Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty faces a stark inconsistency after she allowed Dylan Bryan Adams to avoid criminal charges for keying six Teslas around Minneapolis last month, totaling more than $20,000 in damage.
Moriarty allowed Adams, a state employee under Gov. Tim Walz, to enter an adult diversion program, insisting that her decision was not a result of any political consideration.
“We try to make decisions without really looking at the political consequences,” Moriarty said. “Can we always predict how a story will be portrayed in the media or what people will say? No.”
However, The Free Press highlighted a “striking” case that draws questions about a key argument Moriarty has made about Adams being a first-time offender.
WOW: A 19-year-old Hennepin County woman is charged with a felony for $7K in damages after keying a coworker’s car.
But Soros-backed Mary Moriarty let this Democrat activist walk free after $20K in vandalism to Teslas in Hennepin County.
Two-tier justice, plain and simple. pic.twitter.com/5vI4giVR5F

“A 19-year-old Robbinsdale woman with no criminal record was charged with first-degree felony property damage on Monday after she allegedly keyed her coworker’s car at the White Castle in Brooklyn Park. The damage to the car was estimated at $7,000. She is due to make her first court appearance in two weeks,” the newspaper reported.
The left-wing prosecutor did not offer a direct response when asked how she could balance that charging decision with the decision to not charge Adams, telling The Free Press her office’s main goal is to hold the person accountable for keying the car, get restitution to the people affected, and avoid felony convictions when possible, because it can waylay someone’s life.
Moriarty said that was the case with Adams and that he will face criminal charges if he fails to complete the diversion program.
“Should we have treated this gentleman differently because it’s a political issue?” Moriarty asked. “We made this decision because it is in the best interest of public safety.”
The New York Post editorial board suggested Moriarty’s leniency toward Adams was in line with “the Soros domestic terror protection racket,” saying that by allowing the “Tesla thug” to walk, the prosecutor was “signaling it’s open season on Team Trump.”
Here’s a quick sampling of responses to the story, as seen on the social media platform X:

Her name is Moriarty?
Like the evil nemesis of Sherlock Holmes?
This is beyond parody.

Moriarty is violating every tenet of her position…her personal opinion cannot be marred into her obligation and professional responsibilities…when this is done…it is never Justice….she is using her position under color of authority to inflict her feelings into these cases

Everyone who has been charged should sue and immediately ask for expungement of their cases.
