Woman behind Gavin Newsom’s ‘genius’ social media accounts revealed

The source of the cringe coming from the Governor Newsom Press Office X account has finally been revealed.

If you are one of those people who don’t live on social media, or who are perhaps unfamiliar with the bowels of the leftist side of X, you may not be familiar with the kind of shenanigans that have been going on with the “official account for the press office of [California Governor] Gavin Newsom.”

Yeah, it’s pretty bad.

Apparently the “genius” behind the unforgivable levels of cringe being posted by the account is Camille Zapata.

Say hello to Camille Zapata, the genius behind Gavin Newsom’s social media posts. She leads a team of 3, brilliant peeps trolling 47 by mimicking his words & poor grammar. Love their spirit, their feistiness and their ability to sound exactly like Donny.

“Say hello to Camille Zapata, the genius behind Gavin Newsom’s social media posts. She leads a team of 3, brilliant peeps trolling 47 by mimicking his words & poor grammar. Love their spirit, their feistiness and their ability to sound exactly like Donny. They. Don’t. Back. Down,” the user writes.

Needless to say, the comments didn’t go exactly how the poster expected, leading them to eventually shut down the ability to reply altogether.

Worst strategy ever. They never once mention how any of this pettiness benefits Californians in any way.

Copying isn’t brilliant. The only reason it receives any attention is bc libs are starving for something, anything that resembles positive momentum. Also, look at the engagement it’s nonexistent compared to other the large accounts.
