Holy cow! I’d be absolutely terrified!
Recently hiking, a California woman ended up getting stalked by a mountain lion, and the video is pure nightmare fuel.
Earlier in July, Cortney Rasura was taking a hike on Ojai, California’s Gridley Trail when all of a sudden she found herself not far from the animal. Managing to catch the whole scene on video, the woman stayed cool, calm and collected throughout. (RELATED: Bat Ray Pulls Unbelievable Move To Avoid Getting Eaten By Hammerhead Shark)
Speaking to KTLA, Rasura said that she had her vision down while looking at her phone, and then eventually she peeped the mountain lion in a bush nearby.
“And then a few seconds later, it comes out of that bush, and it’s walking toward me again on the trail. Looking at me, walking with me,” said Rasura. “Then I was kind of panicking, like, oh my gosh, what is it going to do?”
But to her credit, she handled it very well. You can watch the video of the scene here.

Living in Florida, I’ve had a couple of experiences with alligators, and though they’re some of the coolest animals to ever exist and I love them, it’s still quite scary to get hissed at by one of those behemoths.
With that being said, I couldn’t imagine dealing with the intimidation of a big cat in the wild — a big cat in the wild that has speed.
Yeah, screw that.
