Strides in restoring sanity have yet to reach one California school district where a mom resorted to a live demonstration to burst the “bubble” on gender ideology in girls’ changing rooms.
“If the adults don’t feel comfortable … how can they expect girls to feel comfortable?”

Day one action from President Donald Trump kicked off a series of moves to reinforce at the federal level that so-called gender identities are not synonymous with sex. Unfortunately for kids in leftist havens, ideology-driven school boards haven’t had a significant reality check, leading mother and Yolo County Moms for Liberty Chair Beth Bourne to strip down at a recent meeting to provide one.
During the September 18 meeting of the Davis Joint Unified School Board, just outside Sacramento, California, Bourne, whose daughter had been recommended puberty blockers and hormones at 14-years-old, began her three minutes of comments by stating, “I’m a parent in the Davis Unified School District, and I’m here today to talk about the policies you have for the locker rooms in the junior high schools — so Emerson, Holmes, Harper Junior High.”
“Right now, we require our students to undress for PE class. So I’m just going to give you an idea what that looks like when I undress,” the 50-year-old mom said as she continued her remarks while proceeding to disrobe into just a bikini. “So right now, this school district is saying that, depending on a child’s transgender identity, that they can pick which bathroom they want. So we have, right now at this school district, we have children self-identifying into different bathrooms just based off of their-”
Bourne was interrupted and told to stop as she insisted, “I’m gonna finish my comments. You are violating my First Amendment right,” only to have the mask-clad School Board Vice President Hiram Jackson call for a recess.
Moments later, she was given the opportunity to finish her comments and began stripping once more before another recess was called, only to have the subject changed when the meeting resumed.
Speaking with CBS News Sacramento, the mother expressed, “I just thought I made a really good point,” as she’d concluded, “If the adults don’t feel comfortable watching someone, and I’m a 50-year-old woman, change into an outfit, how can they expect girls to feel comfortable doing that in the locker room?”
Meanwhile, rather than address the concerns that Bourne said she had been bringing before the board each month for three years, Trustee Cecilia Escamilla-Greenwald conveyed to The Vanguard that the board would be meeting to address how to handle behavior like Bourne’s going forward.
“We are going to be meeting about this, about what to do in such situations,” said Escamilla-Greenwald, “and we’re going to, I know that our superintendent is going to be speaking with counsel to see what can be done because it’s very inappropriate for anybody to be coming before the board and behaving in such a manner. It’s very inappropriate.”
In a separate interview with the Sacramento Bee, Bourne was asked about her activism, to which she responded, “I’m so passionate about it, because I so strongly know for a fact that children are being harmed by this. And so it gives me this ability or this strength to not worry that people are going to say ‘You’re acting unhinged, or you’re acting like a crazy woman, or you’re acting transphobic, or you’re hateful, or why are you? Why are you acting this way?’”
“Because I know that I’m not crazy, I’m not hateful, that I’m actually the one who’s trying to protect these people that are being harmed,” she added.
The mother told CBS News, “Well, California is in a bubble and Davis is in a bubble. So we’re a bubble in a bubble, so there’s really not a lot of open discussion about these issues in this town.”
