Woman Sues Rams’ Puka Nacua For Allegedly Biting Her

A civil lawsuit has been filed by a Los Angeles woman against Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua, claiming that he said an “unprovoked antisemitic statement” and would go on to bite her on the shoulder later.

Madison Atiabi, who is the plaintiff, alleges that the actions took place in Century City on New Year’s Eve. Obtained by ESPN, the court document has Atiabi accusing Nacua of saying, “f*ck all the Jews,” alleging she “immediately felt uncomfortable and emotionally distressed” due to her faith as a Jew.

Atiabi also claims in the lawsuit that while in a vehicle with Nacua, he “forcibly” bit her, allegedly doing so on her left shoulder that left “a circular imprint of his teeth on her body.” It’s also alleged in the lawsuit that the wide receiver bit the thumb of her friend “with such force that her companion screamed in acute pain.”

A temporary restraining order was filed by the woman, however, her request has been issued a denial, per ESPN. A hearing is set for Apr. 14.

TMZ was the first to report on the lawsuit news. Levi McCathern, the attorney of Nacua, spoke with the Los Angeles Times and said that the allegations have been denied by Nacua regarding the antisemitic comment “in the strongest possible terms.” McCathern also branded alleged biting from Nacua as “horseplay,” specifically the claimed shoulder bite on Atiabi.

“Our office was contacted with demands of millions of dollars in exchange for not publicizing these allegations,” said McCathern to TMZ. “This is not a legitimate claim — it is blackmail.”

McCathern also told TMZ that a defamation lawsuit will be filed for Nacua and issued against Atiabi “and pursuing all available legal remedies in response to these false and damaging statements.”
