“At this point, I’m supporting a bright future for our country. Positive and competent leadership. For us to be what we’re supposed to be—to be a world leader and carry that respect and do what a world power like us should be doing.,” Reigns told Vanity Fair.

The famous wrestler admitted he doesn’t support everything the president does, and noted that he takes issue with Trump’s airing of grievances against his political rivals.

“It’s like he needs that adversary,” Reigns told Vanity Fair.

“He needs that opposition to bounce off of. He needs that competitive motivation or something,” he said. (RELATED: EXCLUSIVE: Kennedy Center Breaks All-Time Attendance Record Amid Liberal Bellyaching Over ‘Trump Takeover’)

Reigns drew parallels between politics and world events, and the sport that he is immersed in.

“To be honest,” he said, “the world seems to be more like wrestling than any other form of entertainment.”

Uptight liberal wrestling fans were stunned by the news and quickly took to social media to share memes and shocked comments.

However, many of Reigns’ fans defended his decision. And he hinted at why he seems to have backed Trump over former Vice President Kamala Harris in November’s election.

“One person was giving us information. One person was answering questions, so it wasn’t that hard.”
