Writer for ESPN-Disney platform claims Hulk Hogan should ‘only’ be remembered as a racist

As America mourned the passing of professional wrestling icon Hulk Hogan, leftists wasted no time in trashing his legacy, with one writer saying that he should be remembered as a racist just hours after the sad news was announced.

The 71-year-old Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, died following a “serious medical issue” at his home in Florida, the end of the line for a larger-than-life figure who became a cultural icon during the 1980s with the World Wrestling Federation, a career that spanned decades and included 6 WWF titles.

In a despicable piece posted on the Disney-ESPN platform Andscape, author David Dennis Jr. trashed Hogan as a “self-admitted racist” who was caught using the “N-word” on tape during a private conversation.

“As the centerpiece to Vince McMahon’s World Wrestling Federation, Hogan became a household name and the driving force behind pro wrestling breaking into the mainstream. There’s a world in which Hogan’s obituaries end at his wrestling accolades. But this won’t,” wrote Dennis, an angry black man.

“Because Hulk Hogan is a self-admitted racist who was caught on tape using the N-word freely on multiple occasions and also dreading the idea that his son’s arrest could mean that the two could be reincarnated as black men,” he continued. “When that is part of your legacy, it becomes singularly defining. As a result, Hulk Hogan died being known a racist who also became famous as a professional wrestler. He only has himself to blame for that.”

Hogan apologized for the controversial tape but it will never be enough for haters like Dennis who didn’t even have the decency to wait for a few days before penning his poisonous piece.

“Andscape, a multi-media platform dedicated to embracing and sharing the full range of Black culture and identity, launched today as a rebranded and expanded version of The Undefeated,” ESPN proudly announced in a 2022 press release. “Andscape, part of the ESPN portfolio, will be a content creator for The Walt Disney Company, encompassing an editorial unit with a robust website, a book publishing arm, a film and television division, and a music publishing group — all with the shared mission of uniting, entertaining, inspiring, and connecting audiences through a Black lens.”

Dennis was slammed by X users for his disrespectful hit on Hogan.

Aside from bitter race-baiters and haters, tributes poured in for the Hulkster with the WWE sharing a video of “the ultimate hero” before SmackDown Friday to commemorate his career both inside the ring and in other ventures.

Last summer, Hogan brought down the house at the Republican National Convention, providing a memorable moment for the raucous crowd at Milwaukee’s Fiserv Forum when he ripped his shirt off to reveal a Trump-Vance sleeveless tee underneath.

“We lost a great friend today, the ‘Hulkster.’ Hulk Hogan was MAGA all the way — Strong, tough, smart, but with the biggest heart,” President Trump wrote in a post to Truth Social. “He gave an absolutely electric speech at the Republican National Convention, that was one of the highlights of the entire week. He entertained fans from all over the World, and the cultural impact he had was massive.
