WWE Relocates WrestleMania 42 From New Orleans To Las Vegas: REPORT

Las Vegas two years in a row? … I love Vegas, but no.

WWE‘s 2026 plans featured WrestleMania 42 being hosted in New Orleans, but that will no longer be the case.

Earlier in 2025, TKO board member and professional wrestling legend Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson made the announcement that ‘Mania would happen Apr. 11 and 12, 2026 at Caesars Superdome. With that being said, the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation announced in a joint statement Thursday with TKO that things have switched up.

The head of New Orleans & Co., Walt Leger, stated that WWE told tourism and sports officials about the move and “wants to build on other events scheduled for New Orleans and might bring WrestleMania to the city in some future year.” (RELATED: ‘Not Scared Of You!’: Caitlin Clark Gets Into Heated Confrontation With Dream’s Rhyne Howard)

For the time being, WWE‘s Money in the Bank will be held in New Orleans in 2026.

TKO Holdings, the parent company of WWE, changed their plans following their decision to host WrestleMania at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas for a second consecutive year, according to a report from NOLA.com.

“After the success of this year’s event, the new leadership running WWE decided that they would rather hold next year’s event in Las Vegas and see what response they get from fans, according to an industry official who wasn’t authorized to be quoted by name,” the outlet reported.

I’m not liking this direction, we need a new city every year, keep it special.
