Radio host Charlamagne Tha God confronted Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) during a recent appearance on The Breakfast Club, questioning the congressman over claims that he was unaware of President Joe Biden’s deteriorating mental and physical condition.
The exchange drew attention as Charlamagne repeatedly pressed Swalwell to explain why Democratic leaders insisted Biden was fit for office, despite growing public concern.
The interview took place during Swalwell’s visit to the radio show on Tuesday, where he was asked point-blank when he became aware of Biden’s visible decline.

Charlamagne attempted to get Swalwell to acknowledge that Democratic lawmakers had misled the public by defending Biden’s condition, but the California representative did not concede.
Charlamagne expressed skepticism over Swalwell’s denial of any prior knowledge and revisited the conversation on his separate podcast, The Brilliant Idiots, co-hosted with comedian Andrew Schulz.
There, Charlamagne discussed his frustration with Swalwell’s answers and his refusal to admit that the party misled voters.
“I kept asking him a simple question over and over: ‘Why should we ever trust Democrats ever again, knowing that y’all upheld this lie?’” Charlamagne said.

The host referenced Original Sin, a book by CNN anchor Jake Tapper, which provides an inside look at the Biden White House and raised questions about how much senior Democrats knew about the president’s condition.
Charlamagne said he brought up the book with Swalwell during the interview to highlight the growing perception of a coordinated effort to conceal Biden’s decline.
Charlamagne did not hold back in his assessment, stating that Democrats had become “accomplices in the cover-up of Biden’s physical and mental decline,” and that many in the party claimed the president was performing well when, according to him, it was evident otherwise.
During the interview, Swalwell maintained that many Democrats “didn’t have access” to Biden and that he personally “didn’t spend much time” with the president in private meetings.
Charlamagne responded by noting that he had no access to Biden whatsoever but still saw enough publicly to draw his own conclusions.
At one point, Charlamagne asked why voters should “ever trust the Democratic Party after they lied to us so long about President Biden.”
Swalwell avoided directly addressing the question, instead pivoting to the party’s broader health care policies.
Charlamagne later criticized that response, saying it failed to address the underlying issue of trust and transparency.
On his podcast, he said, “Anybody that wants to be the future of the party has to throw the Biden shit under the bus. Now, Eric and all of these guys will be like, ‘Well, we didn’t know.’ You gotta cut it the f**k out.”
The segment has since drawn widespread attention online, as questions about Biden’s ability to serve continue to circulate following months of public scrutiny and growing intra-party discussions about the president’s future.
