YouTuber Sean Pettiford broke his silence after actress Tara Reid reportedly accused him of slipping a drug into her drink in a hotel, leaving her unconscious.
Reid claimed he spoke to Pettiford on the phone and she accused him of spiking her drink at the DoubleTree Chicago O’Hare Airport Rosemont December 1. In an interview with Inside Edition slated to air December 5, he vehemently denied the allegations. The outlet obtained camera footage of the night in question, but found no evidence of anyone altering Reid’s beverage.
When asked outright by Inside Edition if he drugged Reid, Pettiford firmly responded, “Absolutely not – no – never.”
“I’m mortified – I’m absolutely mortified,” Pettiford said.
He recalled his phone conversation with the actress.
“I said, ‘Tara how am I supposed to roofie you when I am outside having a cigarette with you. That’s impossible.”
The Rosemont Public Safety Department reported there was no evidence that anyone tampered with Reid’s drink.
“While video surveillance showed Tara Reid at the hotel bar, at no time did video show anyone tampering with or adding something to her drink,” police said in a statement, according to Inside Edition.

The footage obtained by the outlet showed Reid was served five beverages at the hotel bar. The actress previously told TMZ she had consumed just one glass of wine.
After the fifth drink, Reid seemed unsteady, and minutes later, video footage showed the star slumped into a wheelchair and taken to hospital by medical professionals. Pettiford was seen on camera helping Reid into the wheelchair.
Pettiford told Inside Edition’s Alison Hall that Reid began hitting on him at the bar, and her demeanor immediately changed when he turned her down.

“She said ‘Will you take me to my room?’ I said, ‘No mam, I’m not going to do that.’”

When asked if he believes she was hitting on him, Pettiford replied, “I know she was.”
