Christina Applegate Hospitalized, Reasons Unknown

Christina Applegate was quietly hospitalized in March, but what landed her there remains a mystery, with no details about her condition being made public.

TMZ reported April 16 that the famous actress was admitted to a Los Angeles hospital at the end of March, amid her ongoing battle with Multiple Sclerosis. The reason for her medical stay remains unknown, and the star’s representative seemed reluctant to disclose details.

“I have no comment whether she is in the hospital or what her medical treatments are,” her rep told the outlet.

“She’s had a long history of complicated medical conditions that she has been refreshingly open about, as evidenced in her memoir and on her podcast.”

Applegate released her memoir, “You With The Sad Eyes,” March 6.

The “Married… with Children,” and “Dead to Me” star was diagnosed with MS in 2021 and speaks openly about her health struggles.

She previously told fans her condition makes her prone to infection, requiring frequent visits to the emergency room, but it’s not yet clear if her current hospitalization is related to the disease.

“When I wake up, I often can’t get my arm to move far enough to grab the cup of water by my bed or my phone from its charger,” she wrote in her memoir, according to TMZ.

Sigler told fans the show was on a brief hiatus as they both fulfill book tour commitments, though the timing now fuels questions about Applegate’s medical condition.
