‘We Know Who You Really Are’: Crissy Froyd Calls Out Dianna Russini After Resignation Following Alleged Risqué Photos

Oh damn … we might have ourselves a cat fight.

NFL insider and reporter Dianna Russini, who was employed by The Athletic, resigned from her role at the company days after photos of her and New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel seemingly hugging at a Arizona resort were published. Page Six recently published the photos of Russini and Vrabel at the Sedona hotel that were reportedly taken before the NFL owners meetings that began Mar. 29 in Phoenix.

“Rather than allowing this to continue, I have decided to step aside now — before my current contract expires on June 30,” read Russini’s letter to Athletic Executive Editor Steven Ginsberg. “I do so not because I accept the narrative that has been constructed around this episode, but because I refuse to lend it further oxygen or to let it define me or my career.”

Well, not too much longer after Russini posted her resignation letter on social media, Crissy Froyd caught whiff of it. Froyd covers the NFL and college football for the USA Today.

She posted a tweet in response to Russini’s letter, and boy oh boy, it’s a doozy.

“I’m sure you were told to submit this or that you’d get fired instead. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out,” wrote Froyd. “We know who you really are and what you’ve been up to for years. It does so much detriment to women in sports who have done things the right way.”

The Daily Caller has contacted Froyd in an attempt to find out what exactly she knows.

What do you know, Crissy? WHAT DO YOU KNOW?! We have to know!
